New South Wales country directory 1903

NSW Country phonebook

75,900+ records

This directory records the people living in country New South Wales (excluding the Sydney area) in 1903 taken from the New South Wales postal directory. The history includes last name, first name, occupation (if known) and location. Note that quite a few of the listed locations no longer exist in the NSW postal system, so to determine where they were, try a quick Google search on the location name.

Apart from the last name, a lot of the data is abbreviated, ie: “Alfd” instead of “Alfred”, “fmr” instead of “farmer” etc, and no attempt has been made to expand the abbreviations. Over the years, the spelling of some of the locations has also changed. The page number field relates to the page number in the directory where you can view the source info. Images are available on Trove.
